
Pakistan 🇵🇰 and the University of Cambridge 🇬🇧 have formalized a landmark Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) to launch a PKR 3.5 billion joint initiative in Materials Science under the Public Sector Development Programme (PSDP).

The collaboration between Quaid-i-Azam University (QAU), Islamabad, and the University of Cambridge is a major step toward fostering cutting-edge research, innovation, and academic excellence.

🔹 USD 0.7 million has been allocated to facilitate university exchanges, collaborative research, and technology transfer.
🔹 The initiative will focus on clean energy, aerospace, healthcare, and digital innovation, while strengthening industry–academia linkages and promoting commercialization of research outcomes.
🔹 Within the first 100 days, the project will launch research exchanges, industry demonstrations, and a patent development pipeline, accelerating Pakistan’s transition toward a knowledge-based and globally competitive economy.
